web mail allows you to access your email using a browser, 24/7 from anywhere in the world. keep in touch with friends and family while traveling or make sure you don't miss those important business emails while you are out of the office.
when accessing your messages using web mail, the message files stay on our server while you view and work with them in your browser.
here is a brief description of some of the different areas you will see in web mail:
inbox
incoming mail will appear here unless you apply a filter to move it elsewhere.
compose
compose, spell check and send your mail from here. add mail recipients from your address book.
save as draft
you can begin composing a message in web mail and save it to a draft folder for later editing.
spell check
you can check your spelling from the web mail compose page before you send your mail.
save a copy of outgoing message
you can choose to save a copy of any message you send for your own records.
address book
add people to your address book as individual entries or in groups. if you email several people at one time (e.g. sending out a sports club newsletter) consider adding them to a group.
folders
create folders to better manage your email. for example create different folders for personal and work-related email. use filters to move incoming mail to a particular folder.
calendar
web mail includes a personal calendar to save data on appointments, meetings, and other information. you can view your calendar by day, week or month.
task
allows you to create, update and delete tasks. set the priority of the task (1 through 5), change the status or set a due date for the task
notes
use notes to quickly record bits of information that are not task-related. allows you to add a new note and update or delete an existing note.
options
web mail options give you access to modify certain information related to your mailbox. you are able to change your password, set delivery preferences, and enable auto-reply without requiring the help of the server administrator.
external mail
use this option for remote pop3 access. you can configure web mail to load messages from one or more remote pop3 accounts.
mailbox filters
you can define mailbox-level content filters to block incoming mail, file messages in a particular folder, or forward mail to one or more addresses based on the contents (both headers and body) of the message. this function is found in the 'options' area.
log off
when you have finished your email session use this button to disconnect. make sure you log out when using web mail away from home to avoid the risk of someone accessing your account maliciously.
if you have a personal or domain mailbox with 2day, you are automatically granted access to check your emails through out web mail site http://webmail.2day.com
